Shower, Fixtures & Glass Wall

Showers are exposed to water, soap residue and moisture every day, making them especially prone to limescale, dirt and mould.

At Shyne, we clean every part of the shower thoroughly while protecting delicate surfaces and materials.

01 / Shower Tiles

Different materials require different care.

Shower tiles come in many materials and finishes, so always check the surface before choosing cleaning products.

Equipment needed:

  • Blue microfiber cloth

  • Soft cleaning sponge

  • Cleaning brush

  • Suitable cleaning product

How to Clean Shower Tiles

  1. Apply a suitable cleaning product to the surface.

  2. Gently scrub the tiles using a soft sponge or brush.

  3. Pay attention to corners, edges and grout lines.

  4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

  5. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Important: Avoid using the rough side of a sponge on matte, polished or delicate surfaces, as it may cause permanent scratches.

Never use acidic limescale remover on natural stone or other acid-sensitive surfaces.

02 / Mould & Limescale Build-Up

Let the products do the work.

Shower areas often develop limescale and mould, especially around grout lines and silicone seals.

Some stains require specialist products and extra attention.

Mould Removal

Mould cleaner must only be used with your manager's approval.

  1. Apply the approved mould cleaner directly to the affected area, following the product instructions.

  2. Allow it to work for the recommended time.

  3. Gently scrub with a suitable cleaning brush, if permitted by the product instructions.

  4. Rinse thoroughly as instructed.

  5. Wipe the area dry.

If necessary, repeat the process according to the product instructions.

Remember: Mould can penetrate silicone seals, making it impossible to remove completely. In these cases, the seal may need replacement.

Cleaning Grout Lines

Grout lines between tiles can collect dirt, limescale and discolouration.

  1. Check that the grout and surrounding tiles are suitable for the cleaning product.

  2. Apply an approved cleaner to the affected areas.

  3. Allow it to work for the time specified on the label.

  4. Gently scrub using a cleaning brush.

  5. Rinse thoroughly with water.

  6. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Repeat if necessary, provided the surface and product instructions allow it.

Important: Acidic limescale remover can damage cement-based grout and natural stone. Never use it on these materials unless specifically approved.

Never mix mould cleaner with limescale remover or other chemicals. Rinse thoroughly between products, and do not use them together.

03 / Shower Fixtures

Keep them shiny without damaging the finish.

Shower fixtures can be made from chrome, stainless steel, brass or other coated materials.

These finishes can be sensitive, so using the correct cleaning technique is essential.

Equipment needed:

  • Soft cleaning sponge or suitable soft brush

  • Blue microfiber cloth

  • Suitable universal cleaner or Turbo Sanitet

  • Limescale remover, only if compatible with the fixture

No Visible Limescale

Use a suitable everyday cleaner to remove fingerprints, soap residue and dirt.

Visible Limescale

If limescale is present, use an approved limescale remover only if the fixture's material and finish allow it.

Apply the product carefully to a sponge or cloth rather than spraying directly onto the fixture.

How to Clean Fixtures

  1. Apply the appropriate cleaner.

  2. Gently clean the entire fixture, including handles, wall mounts, pipes and underneath.

  3. Pay extra attention to joints and hard-to-reach areas.

  4. Allow the product to work as instructed.

  5. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

  6. Wipe dry with a blue microfiber cloth.

Never use the rough side of a sponge or abrasive tools on fixtures. Scratches can permanently damage the finish.

04 / Glass Shower Wall

Crystal clear. No streaks. No limescale.

Glass shower walls easily collect watermarks, soap residue and limescale.

Equipment needed:

  • Suitable limescale remover

  • Soft sponge or brush

  • Blue microfiber cloth

  • Glass cleaner

  • Dry cloth or kitchen towel

How to Clean a Glass Wall

  1. Check that the glass and any protective coating are compatible with the cleaner.

  2. Apply a suitable limescale remover, avoiding sensitive frames and fittings.

  3. Let the product work for the recommended time.

  4. Gently scrub using the soft side of a sponge or a suitable brush.

  5. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

  6. Wipe the glass dry.

The Final Shyne Touch

Once the glass is clean and free of limescale, finish with glass cleaner and a dry cloth for a sparkling, streak-free result.

Avoid abrasive sponges, especially on coated glass.
